What is Mixed Martial Arts?    (top)
Mixed Martial Arts, also called MMA, is a combat system for both self-defense and sport that combines boxing, kickboxing, and submission wrestling as well as transitioning and combining techniques from all three of these core dicsipilnes.

Should I get in shape before I come to Panza MMA?    (top)
No, it is our job to help get you into the best shape of your life.

Is this place a gym?    (top)
We are a Mixed Martial Arts school. We are equiped with a matted training area for group classes - heavybags - timing bags - speed bags - a boxing ring - treadmills - and medicine balls. We are not a fitness club or weight lifting gym. MMA training is however the most effective form of total body conditioning and students may use our facility while in class or when no classes are in progress in order to practice what they have learned.

Do I have to spar in order to train at Panza MMA?    (top)
No, actually we have seperate classes for those that whish to spar and those that do not want to spar. If you would like to spar with light contact or heavy contact - all can be arranged in any of our boxing, kickboxing, or MMA classes.

At what age can children get started?    (top)
Our children's progran begins at age eight. We use age as a general guideline. If your child is in the second grade but still seven years old he or she may try class. If the instructor feels the child will be fine with older children and the child is fine being one of the youngest in the class, then your child may proceed with the Basic Training Program.

How much does it cost?    (top)
Group class programs range in cost depending on the membership type and length of commitment from approximatly $90 monthly to $233 monthly. The best thing is to come in and meet with our staff to discuss your goals so we can show you the program that would help you reach your personal best.

Can woman learn grapppling and Mixed Martial Arts?    (top)
Yes. We encourage woman to learn grappling because it is the most practical self-defense for them. Combined with boxing and kickboxing techniques, woman will truly be empowed by the experience.

What do I have to wear in class?    (top)
In fitness classes wear whatever you are comfortable training in. Usually shorts, sweats, t-shirts, or spandex. In MMA classes both children and adults must wear a Panza MMA shirt and children must be in Panza MMA board shorts or any pair of black or black/white shorts. Long black kickboxing pants are also allowed.

Who trains at Panza MMA?    (top)
